Waking up this sleepy old blog

Well it't been a while (to say the least) since my last post. I'll explain for those of you who don't know. :)

THe day after my last post (Nov 3rd) we found out that our family is going to grow a bit. Yup...we're expecting a baby at our house. We were excited to welcome a new little one in to our family...BUT we soon found out that it wasn't going to be easy. I've spent the last few months with terrible "morning" sickness (BTW...whoever coined the phrase morning sickness is an idiot, it's more like all-day-complete-misery). It's only been the last 2 or 3 weeks that I realized that I was going to live through this.

Anyway...enough of that!!! Last week we went to the Dr. for the Ultrasound. I think everyone was expecting a girl. (I was really sick with Kay but not too bad with Cole). BUT to our surprise...IT's A BOY!!!

I think Kayleigh took the news the hardest. After the Dr told her the news she got very quiet. In fact she said very little for 2-3 hours. She wouldn't even talk on the phone to tell everyone the exciting news. While we were shopping at the mall a couple of hours later she finally wanted to talk about it. She stopped me in the middle of the mall and said, "mommy, at first I was a little disturbed that the baby is a boy, but now, I think it's going to be okay." I giggled quietly and told her that it was going to be okay. She wanted buy a new shirt for her baby brother so we went to Kohls and she picked out some onsies for him.

Kay has since become very excited and can't wait for the baby to get here. She will be a great big sister!

Cole couldn't be happier with the news of a brother. He's a little out numbered with girls. I have a feeling Cole, Marcus, and the baby will get into all sorts of trouble.

So....in a nutshell that's what's been happening. We're slowly getting things back to "normal" at our house. Hopefully that will mean more blog posts.

HUGS to all of you!

You Are Bert

Extremely serious and a little eccentric, people find you lovable - even if you don't love them!

You are usually feeling: Logical - you rarely let your emotions rule you

You are famous for: Being smart, a total neat freak, and maybe just a little evil

How you life your life: With passion, even if your odd passions (like bottle caps and pigeons) are baffling to others

Watch out Krispy Kreme...

Ha...ha...HA.
Kayleigh and I got a wild hair today and made doughnuts...Wowzers, I forget how much work that is and how big of a mess it makes. My kitchen is STICKY!!! BUT we had a great time and made some delicious donughts...there no Krispy Kreme, but they were pretty tasty if I do say so myself. Heres a peek at the fruits of our labors. Keep in mind I had a 3-year-old helping with the frosting and sprinkles. Sure do love that lil girl. :)
