I can't believe I am old enough to have a kid in first grade. Cole is so excited to go and he has a great teacher. HE had a dramatic first day that included a "time out" at recess. He was heartbroken. Apparently there is a rule that you can't play on the tire swing at lunch recess (there have been some barfing issues in the past). Well, one of his friends asked him to push him on the tire swing, so he did. Well the "mean lady" sent him in for a 2 minute time out.
Now you have to understand that my little guy is very sweet and it's very important to him not to get in trouble. He rarely gets in trouble at home and it's unheard of for him to get in trouble at school. He came home and just kept saying, "there are so many rules mom I just forgot that one". I felt so bad for the poor kid.
He's had a much better time since then and despite his issues with school lunch he's doing really well.

Oh no! That's horrible! Poor Cole! You know, I'm realizing how long it has been since I've actually seen you guys! He looks SOOO grown up in this picture! :)
I can't belive you have a kid in school. Time flys my Bailee turned 3 today.
